When you make the world a more accessible place it benefits everyone!

I got into a car accident after being fully trained for the Army National Guard. I got into the car accident on October 28, 1991. When I woke up, I was different and I had a new perspective on how I see the world. Since then, I have been trying to make the world around me more accessible, not just for me, but for everyone else, too. I like to share my unique perspective with people while making the process fun and hoping people learn something about accessibility from what I show them.
Many people think that making a space accessible requires a lot of work and a lot of money. In most cases, spaces can be made accessible with a few cost-effective tweaks. What we offer is a new perspective as well as affordable solutions for accessibility for both personal and professional places.
I love answering questions people have about accessibility and what it's like to be handicapped. Part of what I do is educating people on those two subjects. If you have a question, send it to me and I will do our best to answer it for you!
I like to travel. However, traveling as a disabled person is a much different experience than traveling as an able-bodied person. Wherever I go I want to have fun, but sometimes accessibility obstacles make that difficult to do. Here is a review of a hotel I stayed at in New Jersey.
I was able to show (former) Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling what the sidewalks are like if you're in a wheelchair. Mayor Strimling was an amazingly good sport getting into my spare wheelchair to see first-hand that the brick and cobblestone sidewalks can be hard to navigate for someone with a disability.
I provide a unique way of combining tools, knowledge, and location to find solutions to make any space more accessible. Specifically, it should not cost you an arm and a leg if you don't have an arm or a leg.

An educational seminar that I provide to any large group that wants to know more about the disabled community and how accessibility works. I tell my personal story of how I ended up in my chair and how that has impacted me. I really like working with communities and groups to make things more accessible. I also enjoy talking to those with disabilities about the challenges they may face.
An educational seminar geared towards kids to help teach them about disabilities. I tell my personal story of how I ended up in my chair and how that has affected me. The unique aspect to my program is that after I'm done with my story, I let them ask me ANY question they want. I figure if they ask me, then they'll have a better understanding and won't need to ask someone else who is disabled that may not be so comfortable answering questions.
